Goal of the project: Contribute to the sustainable use of natural heritage, through the development of a recognizable and attractive tourist destination, with the aim of contributing to sustainable socio – economic development in Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem.
Specific objective: Develop public awareness of the importance of biodiversity and / or geodiversity conservation through the promotion of protected parts of nature and the Natura 2000 ecological network in the area of Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem; Develop tourist infrastructure and attractive tourist content in order to create preconditions for economic development and reduction of unemployment; Valorize and improve the status of protected natural heritage of Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem; Create preconditions for increasing the attractiveness and educational capacity, and establishing better management of visitors to natural heritage sites in Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem.
Project implementation period: December 28, 2018 – June 28, 2022
The target groups of the project are: Visitors from the area of Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem, including locals and visitors from other parts of Croatia, foreign tourists, children of preschool and school age, young people, and nature and vacation lovers.
