The visitor center “Tea House – Oasis of Peace” is located in Špišić Bukovica, and here you will be able to learn a lot of interesting things about tea production, plants, their healing properties, animals, but let’s start in order.
At the very beginning of the tour, we will take you back to the history of this area and introduce you to all the interesting things related to the center’s main theme, which is tea.
In the continuation of the tour and research, you will be guided by an educational trail where you will get to know some of the plants from which tea is produced, as well as animals that are important in the pollination phase and are long-term residents of our fields and meadows. You can relax in the tea museum with a reading room where, in addition to books, there is a digital herbarium and microscopes through which you will be able to see the smallest details of plants that are completely invisible to our eyes or enjoy the aroma of the teas on display.
In the wonderful and spacious yard there are tea tasting rooms, an outdoor educational trail, a children’s playground and a summer terrace. The tea tasting rooms, six of them in total, are differently themed and each one has its own special story about the plants used for tea production. In each of the themed tasting rooms, you can enjoy the scents of plants, creams, pleasant and relaxing music, educational information, but also the tea tasting itself to make the experience complete.
As part of the center, there is also a souvenir shop where you can find special souvenirs related to the theme of tea and the area of Špišić Bukovica municipality. Right next to the souvenir shop there is an educational room for holding various seminars, presentations and the like, while on the first floor there is also a cafe from which you will have a wonderful view of the entire complex.
